On November 5, Dr. Gerald Glandon, Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Services Administration at UAB was guest speaker at the LWVGB General Meeting. This was a continuation of the very successful and interesting meeting on health insurance in October, but this focused on other health care issues starting with issues of rationing (what... is being rationed now and what may be considered) and evidence based medicine. Dr. Glandon's areas of expertise include process improvement in health care, litigation support in health care anit-trust operational needs of health care organizations to include technology assessment, organizational performance, economic aspects of aging, and satisfaction assessment.
